Trishredathon Los Angeles: Snowboard, Surf & Skate For A Cause

Do you love surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding? Well, Los Angeles is one of the only places where you can do all three on the same day… And dammit, that’s what we’re gonna do! Join StokeShare and STOKED Mentoring on February 11th for the Trishredathon, the most EPIC 5K in the world!

STOKED is a nonprofit organization that exists to inspire teens from low-income and underserved communities in Los Angeles and New York. Their mission is to inspire teens who are the most vulnerable, to believe in themselves through action sports. Mentors from film directors to marketing professionals take teens on day trips outside of the inner cities and teach them how to skate, surf and snowboard.

They place kids in environments that not only change their perspective but change their lives.

Since 2015, StokeShare and STOKED have partnered to teach more than 50 teenagers how to surf in Los Angeles. We’ve also teamed up with the West LA/Malibu Surfrider Foundation chapter to show those youngsters the importance of protecting their new ocean playground. We’ve had so much fun with these events that we’ve decided to step our game up!

On February 11th, StokeShare is proud to be the official surf gear sponsor for Trishredathon 2017! It’s a 5K that begins and ends in Venice, California. But this isn’t for the kids, it’s for you! The day begins with a ride up to Snow Summit for some snowboarding, then back to Venice for a surf and a sunset skate sesh. We need your help to make it happen!

There are three ways to support Trishredathon and change the lives of at-risk teens in Los Angeles:

1. Participate

We’re looking for 50 adrenaline junkies who want to help support our efforts to connect LA’s underserved youth with the outdoors. Each participant will commit to fundraising $500 for STOKED. All of the proceeds will go to helping kids learn to snowboard this winter. $500 pays for one student to complete the STOKED Snow Mentor Program. What a cool trade!

With your $500 pledge, you’ll get breakfast, lunch, transportation to and from Snow Summit and a free lift ticket. All gear will be provided. And you don’t have to be good AT ANY of these sports to participate. Between StokeShare, STOKED, and all the other participants, we have more than enough instructors to help you shred by the end of the day!

2. Donate

Not interested in participating but still want to help? Some of our participants need will need help fundraising for the event. Check out the STOKED Trishredathon Crowdrise page to help fund this project. Your donation is going to help these folks have an AWESOME day of adventure and go towards a great cause.

3. Provide gear

StokeShare has committed to providing 50 foam boards and wetsuits for the event. Every day, we connect Los Angeles to outdoor adventure with our marketplace platform. By joining the StokeShare Tribe, you’ll be able to help us make that happen. Sign up today and help an underserved teen catch the ride of a lifetime!

As a participant, you will get a 50% off Promo Code for 686 Apparel and a Discount Code for Sector 9 Skateboards (two of the rad sponsors of the event). There are also sick prizes for different tiers of fundraising… so get to it y’all!
